RESOLUT-IONJ DECLARING RESULT OF CANVASS OF RETURNS
OF GENERAL MUNt.OIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE. FOURTH
WARD OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, 0N' TUESDAY, APRIL
11, 1961, FOR THE PURPOSE OF' ELECTING A COUNCILMAN
IN SAID ·WARD,
WHEREAS', by Resolution Number 20-61, passed and adopted by
this Ccuncil on March 6, 1961, a general municipal Election was
held in the Fourth Ward of the City of Bakersfield on the llth day
of April, 1961, for the purpose of electing a ccuncilman in Said
ward for a full term of four years, and
WHEREAS, ~t~rnnotic. e .was given as required by law Said election
was duly held and conducted on the aforesaid date and.returns of said
election have heel canvassed by this CounciZ, sitting as a canvassing
board.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with'Section 9919 of the Electibns
Code of' the State of California, this Council does hereby determine
and declare the result's of said election to be as follows:

Be it further resolved that Richard S. Mossman is hereby
declared to be elected. to. the office of city Councilman from the
Fourth Ward of.the City of B-ake2~flield for a full term of four years.
