W~S, the Pacific Southwest Local Service Case No. 5645
will be heard in Washington, D. C. Aptill,25, 1961, before the Civil
Aeronautics Board of the United. States Government; and
WHEREAS, the city of Bakersfield and the' Greater Bakersfield
Chamber of Commerce of the City of Bakersfield. and the County of Kern
have heretofore intervened in said case'; and
W1T~REAS, said case is of extreme importance to the economy of
'the City.and'COunty and t.o the inhabitants therein; and
WHBRBAS~ U. S. Senators Clair Bngle and Thomas H° KUchel, U. S..
Representative'=Harlan Hagen~ and Governor Edmund G. Brown are elected
representatives each having an interest in the welfare of the
habitants of said City of Bakersfield=and County of Kern; and
'WHeREaS, their presence at th'e hearing before the Civil
Aeroaautics..Board in"Washington~ D. C.'on April 2.5, 1961, is desired
by the Said City of Bakersfield in order that' the objectives of the
City as heretofore set forth in briefs to the CiVil Aeronautics Board
are fully'realized.

~ --' o~ the State of California be requested to'appear before the'Civil
the City. of Bakersfield and the Greater BakerSfield'Chamber of Commerce
for the ,purpose of presenting to said Civil AeronaUtics Board the. aims
and'objectives of said City and Chamber of Commerce with respect to
the matter of'the Pacific Southwest Local Service Case, Docket No. 5645
et al. and that said Senators, Representative and Governor be informed
by letter of the action hereby taken by theCity'Council of ~he City
Of Bakersfield.
I HBRBBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a 'regular meeting
