BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "BENTON 'PARK NO, 6," PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the 28th day of March, 1961, requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and'incorporated within the City of Bakersfield, and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of all of the territory'proposed to'be annexed. NOW., THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexa- · .lion of Uninhabited Territory ACt of'.1939, Chapter 297, as amended, iBE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of' Bakersfield, as follows: That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed' to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows: A parcel of land situate in't'he County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of the Southeast quarter of Section 12, Township 30 'South, Range 27 East, M. D. M.: Beginningat the'Southeast corner-of Tract No. 2407, as per map thereof recorded September 1, 1960, in'Book 11'of Maps at' page'122 in the officeof the County Recorder of said Kern County, a point on the current corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield; THENCE (1) S. 0° 00' 52"E., along the. easterly boundary Of the West half of the Southeast quarter of said Section 12, and departing from the corporate boundary.of the City of Bakersfield,-a distance of 559.63 feet to intersect a curve, and from which the radial center'of said curve bears S. 0° 05' 58" W., distant 260.99 feet; THENCE (2) southwesterly along said curve concave to the Southeast with a radius of 260.99 feet, through a central angle of 40° 46" 24",-a distance of 185.73 feet to a point, from which the last named radial center bears S. 40° 40' 26" E., distant 260.99 feet; ...... THENCE (4) N. 89° 55' 22" W., a. distance of 867.00 feet to a point; 'THENCE (5) S..0o 04' 38" W., a distance Of 20.00 feet to a point; THENCE (6) N. 890 55' 22" W., a distance of 36.06 feet to intersect a.line parallel with, and distant250Lfeet easterly from, and as measured perpendicular to the'westerly boundary of the Southeast quarter of said Section 12, said last named intersection also being a point on the current corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield; THENCE (7) N. 0° 01' 40" W.,..along last named parallel line, on and along said corporate boundary as same is defined by Ordinance No. 1327 New Series, a distance of 580.00 feet, to intersect the southerly boundary of said Tract No. 2407; THENCE (8)' S. 890 55' 22" E., along last named southerly boundary on and along the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as same is defined by Ordinance No. 1312 New Series, a distance of 1,073.70 feet to the Southeast corner of said Tract No. 2407, the point. of beginning, containing 14.452 acres of land, more or less. That a designation appropriately naming such territory is "B~NTON PARK NO. 6." BE IT FURTHBR RESOLVED, that Monday, the 8th day of May, 1961, at the hourof eight .o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the 'City Hall, 1501Truxtun AvenUe, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any person owning real property within such territory:so proposed to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield, and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. ..... o0o .....
