RESOLUTION ANNEXING CERTAIN TBRRITORY
DESIGNATBD AS "COLLEGE HEIGHTS NO, 9,t
TO TRB GREATER. BAKBRSPIELD SEPARATION
OP GRADE DISTRICT,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfi-eld did, on the
30th day of January, 1961, pass its Resolution of Intention No.'9-61,
~o include certain property. designated as "College Heights No. 9",
within the Greater Bakersfield Separation. of. Grade District, and
setting the time and place for hearing objections to the.inclusion
of said t'err'itory within'said District, and
.~LEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and. legally
published 'once a week 'for two.weeks,.the first. publication thereof
being at least twenty days prior 'to the'date'of the hearing-as pro-'
vided by law, and .- ..
WItEREAS, Monday,'the 6th day of March, 1961,-:at the hour Of
8:00 o~clock P. M., was set. as the time for. hearingobjeCtions to the
:[ndlusionof said territory-.within Said District, and
WI{ERE~, no objection has been. filed or presented. to said
Council to the inclusion of said territory or any part thereof wi'thin.
· the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and the Council
:Further finds that a.ll of said territory will be'benefited by its.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 'RESOLVED AND"THE. COUNCIL DOES HEREBY FIND:
Thatno objection to.the inclusion. of Said territory.or any
part-thereof within the Greater Bakersfield SeparatiOn of"Grade
District,'has been filed or presented to this 'CounCil~ "
· That said territory and every.part· thereof. be, and the same is
hereby annexed to and included within the'said Grea~er Bakersfield
Separation of Grade District 'upon Completi0n of 'annexation of said
territory to the City of Bakersfield, which said territory is described
ILS follows:'
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, Stat'e of
California, and being a portion of Section 15, Township 29
Sour.h, Range 28 East, M. D. M.;
Beginning,at. the southeast (S..B.) corner of, saidISe~ti0n
15; thence N. 0° 00t 35" W., along the easterly boundary of
said Section 15,.as per map of TRACT NO. 19.86, recorded
March 19, 1959, in Book'10 of Maps at page.l'15 in the office
of the County Recorder of said Kern.County, a'distance
1745.04 feet to a point at the.beginning of .a.tangent curve,
from· which theradial center of said curve bears S. 89
2.5~' W., distant 1000 feet; thence southwesterly along said
curve, concave to the northwest, with.a radius of 1000 feet,
through a central angle of 44° 13t 24", a distance of 771.84
feet to apolnt of tan ency, from.'which .the radial center of
said curve bears N. 45~ 47t 11' W., distant. 1000 feet; thence
S, 44° 12t 49" W., along said tangent a distance of 1017.74
feet to the most easterly corner of TRACT NO. 2322, as per
map recorded July 1, 1960, in Bookllof. Maps, at page 93,
in the office of the said County Recorder, said last named
corner also being a point on the corporate boundary of the
said City of Bakersfield, as per that certain annexation
· . designated as "College Heights No, 7't,.and as described by
Ordinance No. 1291, New Series; ,thence continuing S. 44° 12'
49" W., along said tangent, on and ·along said last named
corporate boundary, a distance of 50.00 feet to the beginning
"ofa tangent curve, from which, the radial center of said.
curve bears N. 45° 47t 11't. W., distant 100Ofeet; thence
. southwesterly along said curve, concave tothe northwest,
with a radius of 1000 feet, through a central angle of 450.
06w 48", a distance of 787.38 feet to'intersect the southerly
boundary of said Section 15, a point of tangency, from .which
the radial center of last named curve bears. N. 0°.40~ 23~ W.,
distant 1000 feet, and as shown on said map of TRACT NO. 2322
thence N. 89° 19w 37" ~., along saidsoutherlyboundary of
Section 15, and departing from the corporate boundary of the
City of Bakersfield, a distance of 1733.24 feet, to. the
southeast (S. ~.) corner orsaid.Sect!on'iS, the point of
beginning,· containing an area of ·21.215 acres of land more
or less.'
