HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 34-61 / RESOLUTIONNO. 34-61 RESOLUTION OP INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN'THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OP'GRADE DISTRICT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "COLLEGE HEIGHTS NO. 5," AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEAR- ING OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF' SAID TERRITORY WITHIN SAID DISTRICT. WHEREAS, proceedings have been completed for the annexation of certain unincorporated territory, designated as "College Heights No.. 5," to the.City of Bakersfield, and WHBRBAS, all of said territory lies outside.the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and WHEREAS', Section 8290 of the Streets and'Highways Code of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated territory of a county which was not included within a separation of grade district at the time of the formation.of such district, and which subsequent 1:o the formation of .such district is annexed jto or' o~herwise included within a city which is a part of such district, shall immediately upon such annexation to such city be included-Within the. district and shall thereafter become a part of the district to the same extent as such city; except such portion or portions.thereof which the City Council has determined, will not be benefi~ed by inclusion*in-the district. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED .by the Council of the City' of Bakersfield, as follows: . 1. That a description of the unincorporated territory described in the annexation proceedings, is as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of I~ern, State of'California, ..:and being a portion of the southwest quarter '(S.
