· RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE .WITHIN THE
GREATER BAKBRSPIELD SEPARATION 'OP :GRADE DISTRICT
CERTAIN, TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "COLLEGE HEIGHTS
NO. 3," AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEAR-
ING OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF 'SAID TERRITORY
WITHIN SAID DISTRICT. " .'
WHEREAS, proceedings have been completed for the annexation
of certain uninCorporated territory, designated as "College Heights
No. 3,",to the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, all of said territory lies outside the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District,'.and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, provides that the unincorporated territory of a
county which was not included withi.n a separation of grade district
at the time of the formationof such district, and which subsequent
to the formation of such district is annexed to or otherwise included
within a city which is a-part of such. district, shall immediately
upon such annexation to such city be included within the district and
shall thereafter become a part of the district to the same extent as
such city;.except such portion or portions thereof which the City
Council has determined, wilI not be benefited by inclusion in the
district.
NOW, THEREPORE, BB IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a' description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, is as follows:
That certain parcel of land situated in the County of-Kern, State of
California, being a portion of the southwest quarter (S. W.1/4), of
Section 15, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M. D. B. & M., and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at.the northwest (N.W.) corner of Lot 2, as said Lot 2 is
shown on the map of Tract No. 1903,'recorded May 29,'.1957, in Book 9
of Maps, at page 139, in the officeof the County Recorder of Kern
'County,. California; thence N. 89° 25' 44" E.,. along the corporate
boundary of the City of Bakersfield, as said corporate boundary is
defined by that certain annexation known as'College Heights No. 1,
adopted May 23, 1955, by Ordinance No.'1050, New Series, and. certified
June 24, 1955,. by the Secretary of State~. State of California, and
along the northerly line of the south one-half (S. 1/2) of the south-
west quarter (S.W. 1/4) of Section 15, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M. D. B, & M.,'and along the northerly'boundary of said Tract No. 1903,
and continuing along the northerly boundary of', and to the northeast
(N. ~.)corner of, Tract.No. 1901, as last named boundary, and last
:named northeast. (N. ~.) corner are shown, on map. of said Tract No. 1901,
recorded April 17, 1957, in Book 9 of Maps, at page 130 in the office
of said County Recorder, a. distance of'2321.74 feet; thence S. 0° 07' 40"
E,, and departing from said corporate boundary, on and along the east-
erly boundary of said Tract No. 1901 to the southeast (S. ~.) corner
thereof, a distance of 124.00 fee.~; thence S. 89° 25' 44" W., along
the southerly boundary of,. and tothe southwest (S. W.) corner of, said
Tract No. 1901, a distance of 2096.60 feet; thence N. 0° 34' 16" W.,
along the westerly boundary of said Tract No. 1901, a distance of 54.00
feet, to the southeast (S.-~.).corner of Lot 1., in said Tract No. 1903;
thence t. 89° 25' 44" W.', along the. southerly boundary of, and to the
southwest (S. W.) corner of, said Lot 1, a distance of 104.58 feet;
'thence S. 0o 14' 34" E., along'an easterly-boundary of said Tract
No. 1903, to intersect the southerly boundary of Noble Avenue, at a '
point on a circular curve, a distance of 401.21 feet, from which last
· named point the .radial center of~said curve bears S. 1'20 02' 30" W.,
distant 470.00 feet; thence northwesterly along said curve, concave'
to the southwest, and along the southerly boUndary'of said Tract No.
1903, through a central angle of 12° 17' 04".,. with a radius of 470,00
feet, for a distance of 100.77 feet, to a point of'compound curve,
from which the.radial point of last named curve bears S. 0° 14' 34,'
distant 470.00 feet, and the radial center of'the following described
curve bears S. '0° 14'-34"'~ , distant~ 20 00 feet; thence continuing
along the'southerly boundary of said Tract No. 1903, along a-circular
curve concave to the southeast, through a central angle of 90° 00' 00",
with a radius of 20.00 feet, for a distance of 31.42 feet, to a point
of rangenOV, from which the radial center.of last named curve, bears
N. 89° 45' 26".E.,.distant, 20.00 feet;thence N. 0° 14' 34" W., along
the westerly boundary of said Tract No.-1903, a distance of 479.76
"feet, to the Northwest (N..W.)'corner of-said Lot 2, in said Tract
No. 1903, and to the point of beginning, containing 7.415 acres of
land more or-less.'
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the City
CQuncil, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall upon
annexation to the City of Bakersfield be"lincluded within the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of'Grade District.
3. That Monday, the 1st day of May, 1961, at the hour of
eight o'clock P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time When and the

I HEREBY C~RTIPY that the foregoing:Resolution was passed and
adopted-by the Council-of the City of, Bakersfield, at a regular meeting
thereof held, 6n the 27th day of March', 1961, by the following vote:
