B~KERSPIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE POR HEAR-
ING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY
WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS '.'CORONADO NO.
2 "PROPOSED TO.~g:-BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OP

WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the' Council of the City of
Bakersfield on the 21st day of'March, 1961, requesting that certain
uninhabited territory therein described.be annexed to and incorporated
within fhe City of Bakersfield, and
'. WHEREAS, said petition was 'signed by the Owners of all Of the
territory proposed to 'be annexed. ' ".
NOW, THEREPORE, in compliance with the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City Of Bakersfield, as
follows:
Tha~ the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be .annexed
~o the City.of Bakersfield. are described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion of Section 13, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M. D. M.:
Commencing at the intersection of the center-line of EL
POTRERO LANE, with the northerly-boundary of 'northwest
quarter (N..W..1/4)of said Section 13, 'as per map of TRACT
NO. 2263, recorded April 7, 1960, in Book 11 of Maps at
page 74, in the office of the County Recorder, of said
Kern' County; thence S. 0° 02' 41,.' E., along the centerline
'of said EL POTRERO lANE, tointersect a. line parallel with,
distant 30 feet southerly from, and as 'measured perpendicular
to the said northerly boundary of the northwest quarter
(N. W.. 1/4), of Section 13; thence S. 89° 54' 30" E., along
'said parallel line, a distance of 30 feet to the true point
of beginning of this description,.apoint on the current
corporate boundary of the Cityof Bakersfi. eld, and 'as said
corporate 'boundaryis defined by Ordinance No. 1327 New
· Series; thence continuing S. 89° 54' 30, E., along.said

distance of 169.745 feet, to intersect the northerly
TRACT NO. 22631 02' 41" E.', and departing from
said Corporate boundary, along' said northerly prolongation
and along said easterly boundary of'Lot 2, a distance of
188.415 feet to the southeast corner thereof; thence,
S. 89° 57' 19" W., along the southerly boundary of said.
Lo~ 2, .a distance of 169,744 feet to the southwest corner
thereof; thence N. 0° 02w 41" W., along the westerly
boundary orsaid LOt 2, and along the northerly prolon-
gation of last'namedwesterly boundary a distance of
188.820feet to the true point. of beginning of this
description, containing 0.735 acres of land, more or

That a.designation appropriately naming such :territory is

BE IT FURTHER RBSOLVBD, ~hat Monday, the lst' day of May, 1961,
at the hour of eight o'clock P. M., in the Council. Chambers of the
City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time
when and the place where-any person owning real'proPerty within such
territory so proposed to be annexed and.having any objections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the. Council of' the City of
Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed.'
