A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK IN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 759 IN THE CITY
Ol~ BAKtRSP I~.LD, CALIPORNIA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF.THE CITY OF BAKERSPIELD, as
follows:
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield'did.on the 14th
day of Pebruary, 1961, pass its.Resolution of Intention No. 759 to order
the work described therein to be done and improvement to be made in
said City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and. legally
published ~wice immediately after the passage of said Resolution, as
required by law, in the Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper
published and circulated in said City, and designated by sald.Counctl
for that purpose; and
WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention
No. 759, headed "NOTICE OP IMPROVEMENT" were duly and.legally posted
along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and along all
the open streets within such district, at not more than 300 feet apart,
:in the time, form and manner as required by law;.'and
WHEREAS,. said posting was fully completed more than tendays
before the date set for hearing protests and objections; and
WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of said-Resolution of Intention.
was given by mail in the manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, the time set for hearing of objections in said Resolution
of Intention was more than fifteen and less than sixty days from the
date of the passage and adoption of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, said City Council having duly, received and..considered
evidence oral and documentary concerning the jurisdictional facts in
this proceedings and concerning the-necessity for the contemplated work
:improvement. and the benefits to be derived therefrom, 'and said City
Council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement.

IT IS HTmRBBY RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience
.irequire the work described in Resolution of Intention No. 759 to be
done, and the Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby orders the work
· therein described to be done.. Said work shall be done' in accordance
~ith the plan.and specifications therefor, heretofore approved by this
Council. Por further'particulars reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 759, plan an~ specifications, all of which
are on file in the.office of the City Clerk.
The City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is hereby directed to
post.a notice referring to the specifications therefor, conspicuously
.for five days, on or near the door of the Council Chambers of the Council
of. theCity of Bakersfield, inviting sealed proposals'or bids for
,doing the ,work herein ordered, The Clerk is also directed to publish
a noti'ce'inviting such propolals and referringto'the specifications
so posted or on file, twice in TheBakersfield Californian, a .daily
:newspaper published and 'Circulated in said City and hereby designated
for that purpose. ·
: The ....~,~.~'dayof ~_A, pr~! .... , 1961, is hereby designated and fixed
as the day on which up to the hour of 5 o"clock.P.M., the said proposals
or bids shall be received, and all bids so received shall be opened by
the Council in open session at 8 o'ctock P.M., of the said day, and
the said notices shall so specify.
I HEREBY CBRTIPY that the foregoing Res01utio.n was passed and
adopted'by the Council of the City :of' Bakersfield at' la regular meeting
thereof held on' the2Oth day of Marchi 1961, by the folio.wing ·vote:
