A RESOLUTION ·OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKBRSF IELD FIXING ~ A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEAR ING
PROTESTS. BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN.
TERRITORY DES IGNAT~.D AS !'VRRDE NO. 2," PROPOSED
TO IBE ANNEXED TO THE CITy OF .BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS,..a petition was'filed with the Council 0f~the City of
Bakersfield on the 22rid day of February,. 1961, requesting ~hi~ 'certain
uninhabited terr.it0ry therein described be annexed.to and incorporated
within'the City of Bakersfield, and · ~ "
'WHEREAS, said petition was signed bY the.owners of not less

NOW, THF. REFORE, in compliance.With the pr.ovisions of the.
AnnexatiOn of.Uninhabited TerritOry'Act of.1939','.Ch~pter 297, as
amended, BE IT--RESOLVED by the CounCil of the City Of Bakersfield, as
-'That the' boundaries of the territory so propose~ robe annexed
to.the City. of .Bakersfield are describeda's follows: '
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, sta~e of.
California,]and being a portion of Lot'6, Block "C" of"
"GRBENB'S TRACT", as per map'of-said "GRBENE'S TRACT"
recorded November'9, 1905, in'Book 1.of Maps at'page '97,
in ~he office of~he County Recorder.of said Kern County:
· Beginning at a point on the easterly boundary of said Lot
.6, a pointon the current corporate boundary of the City
· of Bakersfield as said corpora.re boundaryiS'defined. by
Ordinance No.. 830New. Series,.said point of beginning also
being the southeast.(S. E.)'c0rner. of that certain parcel

thereof, to intersect a line parallel with, distant 30

a point on the current corporate' boundarY of the City of
Bakersfield; thence (7) easterly along last.named para.llel
line, on and along said corporate boundary as. same is

last named easterly boundary, on and'along the corporate

1961,. at the 'hour of eight o'clock P. M., in "the ' Council Chambers of
l~he City Hall, 1501 Truxtun AVenue, Bakersfield,' California, is the
~ime when and the place where any person owning real property within
such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections'
~o"the proposed annexation may appear before the C6Uncil of the City
of'Bakersfield, and show cause why such territory"should not be
annexed.

I H]~REBY Cr~RTIFY that the foregoing:Resolution was passed and
a~dopted by the Council of the City of Bakers£ield at a regular meeting
thereo£ held on the 27th day of 'Pebruary,' 196i, by the following.vote:
