A RESOLUTION OF TH~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAK~RSFIRLD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
T~RRITORY DESIGNATED AS "COLLEGE HEIGHTS NO. 9",
PROPOSRD TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD.
WH~EAS, a. petition was'filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the 25th day of January, 1961, requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be.annexedto and
corporated within the City of Bakersfield-, and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed byethe owners of'all of the
territory proposed to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with'the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as
]Follows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed
to the City of Bakersfield are described as'follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion.of Section 15, Township 29
South, Range 28 East, M. D. M.;
Beginning at the southeast (S. E.) corner of said Section
15; thence N. 0° 00' 35" W., along the easterly boundary of
said Section 15, as per.map of TRACT NO. 1986, recorded
March 19, 1959,.in Book 10 of Maps at page 115 in the office
of the County Recorder of said Kern County, a distance of
1745.04 feet to a point at the beginning of a tangent curve,
from which the radial center of said curve bears S. 89° 59'
25" W,, distant 1000 feet; thence 'so.uthwesterly along said
curve, concave to the northwest, with a radius of 1000 feet,
through a central angle of 44° 13' 24",..a distance of 771.84
feetto a point of tan ency, from which the radial center,of
said curve bears N. 455 47' 11" W.:,, distant 1000 feet; thence
S. 44° 12' 49" W., along said tangent a distance. of 1017.74
feet to the most easterly corner of TRACT'NO. 2322, as per
map recorded July 1, 1960, in Book 11 of Maps, at page 93,
in the.office of the said County Recorder, said'last named

Ordinance No. 1291, New Series; thence continulng S. 44° 12'
49" W., along said tangent, on and along said .last named
corporate boundary, a distance of 50.00 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve, from which the .radial center of said curve
bears N. 45° 47' 11" W., distant 1000 feet; thence south-
'westerly along said curve concave to the-northwestAS~ith
=a radius of 100o feet, through a central angle of 06'
48", a distance of 787.38 feet to intersect the southerly
boundary of said Section 15, a point of tangency, from
which the radial center of last named Curve bears N. 0°
40' 23" W.; distant 1000 feet, and as shown on said map
of TRACT NO. 2322; thence N. 89° 19' 37" E., along said
southerly.boundary of Section 15, and departing from the
corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield, a distance
of 1733,24 feet, to the. southeast (S. B.) corner of said
Section 15, the point of beginning, Containing an area of
21.215 acres of land more or less.
That a designation appropriately naming such territory is
"COLLEGE HEIGHTS NO. 9."
BE IT PURTHER RESOLVED, that Monday, the 6th day of March,
19611 at the hour of eight o'clock P.. M., in'theCouncil Chambers of
the'CityHall~.lS01 Truxtun Avenue,. Bakersfield, California, is the
time when and the place where any person owning real property. within
such' territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections
to the proposed annexation may appear-before the Council of the'City
of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed~

I HEREBY CERTIPY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted 'by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 30th day of January, 1961, by the following vote:
