A RESOLUTION OP THE COUNCIL OP THE CITY OP
BAtCERSPIBLD FOR THE PURPOSE OF LISTING THE
NAMES OP CANDIDATES AND FOR THE PURPOSE OP
· ADOPTING THE FORM IN WHICH THE BOND ISSUB'
SHALL BE PRESBNTED ON THE BALLOT.
WHBRBAS~.the City Council has on the '3rd day of January~ 1961,
by Resolution No. 3-61 called the Nominating. Etection for the office
of Councilman in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th Wards and an election for
two members of the Board of Education of the Bakersfield City School
District to be held in the City. of Bakersfield on Tuesday the 28th
city Of February, 1961;. and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1342, New Series, the City COuncil
ordered the calling of a special election to be held in the City of
Bakersfield on Tuesday the 28th day' of February for the purpose of.
submitting a proposition to incur bonded indebtedness for a municipal
improvement; and
WH~RF~AS, the foregoing elections. have been ordered consolidated
in order to be held on the same date.
NOW, THER'F. FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the' City of
Bakersfield as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that .the form of the ballot for sub-
mission to the electors of the City of Bakersfield on the City
measure for approval of a bonded indebtedness shall appear onthe'
ballot.as follows:
City of Bakersfield Municipal. Auditorium Bonas
Shall the'City of Bakersfield incur a bonded indebted-
hess for the acquisition and construction by said City
of a cer'taln municipal improvement to wit: additions
to the municipal auditorium and public assembly
building including an ice rink refrigeration system,
an ice rink floor system, a pit hoist, carpcling,
fixed seating, kitchen equipment and kitchenettes,
stage draperies and a counterweight system, stage
dimmers and control paneis including portable lighting,
sound equipment, ceramic tile wainscots, exterior
painting, aspbaltic tile flooring, acoustical tile on
plaster, communication equipment over the arena,
together with paving of parking areas, ornamental'~- '
shrubbery and curbs, gutters and sidewalks, and'in-
cluding all furniture, furnishings, apparatus, equip-
ment and other property necessary therefor
