RESOLUTION CALLING THE NOMINATING MUNICIPAL
ELECTION FOR THE, OFFICE OF COUNCILMAN IN THE
!ST, 3RD, 4TH MqD 7TH W~ARDS AND AN. ELECTION
FOR TWO MEMBERS, OF THE BOARD 'OF IDUCATION OP
THE BAKERSFIELD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT'TO BE'
HELD IN THE CITY OP BAKERSFIELD ON THE 28TH
DAY OF .FBBRUARY~ 1961, AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF ELECTION. :
WHtREAS, pursuant to the City Charter, "the City Clerk'Shall
certify a list of candidates for the offices of'City Council and
Board of Education; and
... WH]~RBAS, .the City Charter prov'ides further ~hat the Council
shall. cause said certified 'listto be filed and published in a
proclamation calling the'election;. and
WHEREAS, said Nominating Election has been set forthe 28th
aay of February, 1961.'. .. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of t.he City of
'Bakersfield, that the Nominating. Municipal Election for the office
of Councilmen in the !st, 3rd, 4th and 7th Wards of the City of
Bakersfield·and for the Office of tw6 members .of the Board of
Education-is hereby called and will be held. On the. 28th day of
February, 1961, and the clerk is hereby authorized to publish the
'Notice of F. lection.

I HEREBY CERTIFY:.that .the foregoing ResolutiOn was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City 9f Bakersfi'eld at a regular meeting
