A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PUBLIC
UTILITIES EASEMENT IN BLOCK 462, IN THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the IZth day of Nowember, 1969, the Council
of the City of Bakers field, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Service Easements Vacation Law", being Sections 50430 to
50445, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California,
Ipassed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 846, declaring
its intention to order the vacation of a public service easement,
also referred to herein as a public utilities easement, situated in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and
being a 'portion of the alley in Block 462, situate within the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and 'place for hearing
all 'persons interested in or objecting to said ~proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 8th day of December, 1969, after
notices were duly published and 'posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said Ipublic service easement also referred to
herein as 'public utilities easement, hereinafter described, is
unnecessary for present or prospective 'public use:
All that portion of the alley running east and west
through Block 462 in the City of Bakersfield, as
'per map filed April 19, 1904, in Book 1 of Maps on
Page 13, Kern County Records, excepting and reserving
the westerly ten (10) feet of said alley for a road
right of way.
2. That said public service easement be and the same is
hereby vacated and abandoned for 'public service easement 'purposes,
subject to and in conformity with the reservation of the easement
contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention
No. 846. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made
for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 8th day of December, 1969, by
the following vote:
