A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DESIGNATING CERTAIN DAYS AS HOLIDAYS
FOR ALL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DURING CALENDAR YEAR 1970.
WHEREAS, Section 3.18.180 of the Bakersfield Munici'pal
Code 'provides that the City Council shall approve holidays designated
by the City Manager for each calendar year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that the holidays for employees of the City of
Bakersfield for Calendar Year 1970 are as follows:
New Years Day
January 1, 1970
Lincoln's Birthday
February 12, 1970
Washington's Birthgay February 22, 1970
(Monday, February 23, 1970 is selected as a
holiday since Washington's Birthday falls
on a Sunday in 1970.)
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Veteran's Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
September 7, 1970
October 12, 1970
November 1~, 1970
November 26, 1970
December 25, 1970

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the. foregoing Resolution was
'passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 24th day of November, 1969, by
the following vote:
