RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF THE
ALLEY IN BLOCK 156, ClTY OF BAKEPaFIELD.
'WHERFAS, on the 2nd day of September, 1969, the Council No tee
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941::, beinS Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
HiShways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 844, declatin, its intention to order
the vacation of the alley in Block 156 situate in the C4. ty of
Bakorsfield~ County o~ Kern~ State of Celt~.ornia~ and
WllEREAS, said Council did fix a time end place for hearinS
all persons interested in or objectinS to said proposed vacation,
which said heBrinS was held on the 22nd day of September, 1969, after
notices were duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considerinS the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the alley in Block 156 situate in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly
described as follows, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes:

alley and bloc~ are shown.on the Hap of the
tit of Bakersfield recorded November 25, 1898

Office of the County Recorder of Kern County.
· Reservin the entire alley as herein above
descrtbe~ for purposes of a public utilities
easement.
2. That said alley in Block 156 be and the same is
hereby closed up~ vaoated and abandoned for publLo street purposeas
subject to and in conformL~y wLCh the reservations and exoopt~one
contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention He, 844,
Referonce Co said Resolution of ZnCenCion is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. The' City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, Call£ornia.
