A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AND THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE
CROSSING OF WHITE LANE BY THE BUTTONWILLOW
BRANCH OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
RAILROAD, P.U.C. CROSSING NO. BT-318.9 BY
THE INSTALLATION OF FLASHING LIGHT GRADE
CROSSING SIGNALS WITH AUTOMATIC GATE ARMS
AND BY THE WIDENING OF. WHITE LANE WITHIN THE
AREA OF SAID CROSSING.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield proposes to widen White
Lane within the area of its crossing by the Buttonwillow Branch of
the Southern Pacific Company Railroad; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield and the Southern Pacific
Company contemplate the installation of flashing light grade
crossing signals with automatic gate arms at said crossing; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield and the Southern Pacific
Company desire to specify the pro'portionate share oflcosts that
are to be borne by the City of Bakersfield and the Southern Pacific
Company for said improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the agreement for
the installation of flashing light crossing signals with automatic
gate arms and for the widening of the crossing of White Lane by the
Buttonwillow Branch of the Southern Pacific Company Railroad is
hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
'passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of September, 1969,
by the following vote:
