RESOLUTION OF CONDITIONAL AWARD OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
CONDITIONALLY AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO
MERCO CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERS, INC. FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE STINE ROAD-
MCCUTCHEON ROAD INTERCEPTOR SEWER.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk by direction of the City
Council did in open session on the 24th day of June, 1969, publicly
open, examine and declare all sealed bids for the construction of
the Stine Road-McCutcheon Road Interceptor Sewer; and
WHEREAS, of the two bids duly considered by said City
Council, it appears to said Council that the l'owest regular
responsible bidder for doing the work is Merco Construction
Engineers, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, said work is being constructed under. Public
Law 84-660 and thereby necessitates the conditioning of this award
upon the concurrence of Federal Water Pollution Control Administration
and Division of Water Quality Control of the State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are true and correct.
2. That said City Council does hereby reject all of
said bids except as herein mentioned and does hereby award the
contract for the doing of said work to the lowest regular
responsible bidder, to wit, Merco Construction Engineers, Inc. at
the prices and under the terms and conditions named in the bid
of said bidder, conditioned upon the concurrence in said award by
The Federal Water. Pollution Control Administration and Division of
......... Wate~ Q~al~ty control of the State of California
3. That no other bidders are involved in the perform-
ance of this contract so that the base bid of $489,803.40 is the
total proposed award.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers field at a
special meeting thereof held on the 25th day of June, 1969, by
the following vote:
