RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REQUESTING
THE KERN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS TO DISSOLVE THE SUNSET
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request of the County's
Executive Officer the City of Bakersfield has instituted 'proceedings
to dissolve the Sunset Fire Protection District by way of its
Resolution of Application (Proceeding No. 206) to the Kern County
Local Agency Formation Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Commission by a unanimous vote of its
members at an official meeting thereof held the 22nd day of April,
1969, after public hearing thereon, approved the proposal for
dissolutionment; and
WHEREAS, the Sunset Fire Protection District has been
inoperative and a nonuser of its corporate powers for approximately
ten (10) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That pursuant to the District Reorganization Act of
1965, Part 5, Chapter 4, and the Resolution Making Determination
of the Local Agency Formation Commission the Board of Supervisors
is requested to adopt a resolution to institute dissolution of the
Sunset Fire Protection District.
2. That the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield be
instructed to forward this resolution and a copy of the Resolution
9~ ~e_ ~gc~IAgencY Formation Commission Making Determination to
the Kern County Board of Supervisors.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers field at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 19, th day of May, 1969,
by the following vote:
