A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD PROTESTING THE EXECUTION OF
CONTRACTS OR AGREEMENTS FOR LANDS WITHIN
ONE MILE OF THE CITY LOCATED IN AGRICULTURAL
PRESERVES.
WHEREAS, the City has received notice pursuant to
Government Code Section 51243.5 that the Board of Supervisors of
Kern County is to consider execution of contracts and agreements
on the 18th day of February, 1969 pursuant to the California Land
Conservation Act of 1965 which includes lands within one mile of
the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, Section 51243.5(b) Government Code State of
California provides that the City may protest said execution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The City of Bakersfield pursuant to the provisions
of the California Land Conservation Act of 1965 (Sections 51200 -
51295 Government Code) hereby protests any contracts or agreements
for lands within one mile of the City of Bakersfield as set forth
in the Notice of January 17, 1969 more precisely described as
follows:

2. The City Clerk is instructed to file this resolution
with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 600, Kern County
Civic Center, 1415 TruxtunAvenue, Bakersfield, on or before
February 18, 1969.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of February, 1969, by
