RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF 32ND STREET BETWEEN "K" STREET
AND JEWETT AVENUE IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of September, 1968, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941", being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 835, declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of 32nd Street between "K" Street
and Jewett Avenue, City of Bakersfield, California, and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 21st day of October, 1968, after
notices were duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of 32nd Street between "K" Street
and Jewett Avenue, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes:
The south 11.25 feet and the east 262.90 feet of the north 11.25
feet of 32nd Street between "K" Street and Jewett Avenue as said
streets and avenue are shown on the map of the City of Bakersfield
recorded November 25, 1898 in Book 1 of Maps at Pages 13 and 14 in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern.
Reserving the following portions of the hereinabove described
parcels for purposes of a public utilities easement:
1. The east 20 feet of the west 142 feet of the
south 11.25 feet of 32nd Street between "K"
S~reet and Jewett Avenue. ' ...........
2. The east 82.5 feet of the west 346.5 feet of
the south 11.25 feet of 32nd Street between
"K" Street and Jewett Avenue.
3. The east 20 feet of the west 488.5 feet of the
south 11.25 feet of 32nd Street between "K"
Street and Jewett Avenue.
4. The west 82.5 feet of the east 261._8 feet of
the south 11.25 feet of 32nd Street between
"K" Street and Jewett Avenue.
5. The east 80 feet of' the north 11.25 feet of
32nd Street between "K" Street and Jewett Avenue.
2. That said portion of 32nd Street between "K" Street
and Jewett Avenue be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and
abanddned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity
with the reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated
by said Resolution of Intention No. 835. Reference to said
Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of October, 1968, by
the following vote:
