A I~SOLUTION OF APPLICATION FOR A CHANGE OF ORGANIZATION
BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF K~KERSFIgLD
P~EQUESTiNG THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO
APPROVE AND INSTITUTE IF NECESSARY THE DISSOLUTION OF
.THE EL CAMINO AE~ THE SUNSET FIRE PROTECTIONS DISTRICTS
~F~EP~F~AS, Section 56195 of the Government Code of the
State of California provides ~hat a proposal for a change of
Organization within the purview of the Distract Reo~cganization
Act of 1965, ~y be ~de by the adoption of a R~$olution of
Appliea~ion by the legislative body of any affected City~ and
~IEEAS, the City of Ba~rsfield is a~ affecced City~
as defined in Section 56021 of the Govem~nt Code, and
~E~S~ the proposed dissolution of ~he El Camino and
S~se~ Fire Protection Districts constitutes a "change of
OrEanlzati~" as defined in ~ction 56028 of the Gove~nt Code~
and~ accordinSl7 is a procedure within the purview of 8aid District
Reo~ganizati~ Act as s~cifically provided by Section 56001 of
said code, and
~E~$~ ~he ~erri~ory comprisin~ ~be El Casino and
Sumse~ Fare Pro~ec~ion Districts ha~ subseq~n~ to ~he/r fo~tion
been incorporated into the City of Ba~rsfield '~hrouEh the
extension of its boundaries by annexation~ and
~E~AS, the City of ~rsfieid desi:~'es ~o ~.issnlve
said District whose f~ctiona have been as~u~d by '~he Cif:y since
annexation of .said ~e~ritories.
NOW, ~IE~FORE~ BE iT ~SOL~D by the Co~cil of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:

Organization is ~de purs~nt to Section 56195~ Division X Title 6
of ~he Dis~ric~ ~or~a~i~lon Ac~ of 1965.
2o That the change of Organization proposes the
diesolution of C~mE1 Camino Fire Protections District and the
Sunset Fire Protection Districts located within ~he CerTitorial
boldaries of ~he City of Ba~rsfield~
3= That said proposed changes will affect =he testy of
~m, ~he City of Ba~r~field, ~he E1 Cadno Fire Pro=ec~ion
Dis~ric~ and ~he S~set Fire Pro~ection Dis~ric~$~
