RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT
A PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
"AUBURN NO. 1", AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE
FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF SAID
TERRITORY WITHIN SAID DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the
annexation of certain unincorporated territory, designated as
"Auburn No. 1", to the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, a portion of said territory lies outside the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated
territory of a county which was not included within a separation
of grade district at the time of the formation of such district,
and which subsequent to the formation of such district is annexed
to or otherwise included within a city which is a part of such
district, shall immediately upon such annexation to such city be
included within the district and shall thereafter become a part
of the district to the same extent as such city; except such portion
or portions thereof which the City Council has determined, will
not be benefited by inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, is as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,

Beginning at-the Southwest corner of E~ of-Southwest ~ of--s~id ....
Section 14, said Southwest corner being a point on the corporate
boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined by Ordinance No. 1452,
New Series;
.Thence (1) Easterly along the South line of said Sections 14 and
13 to intersect the East line of the W~_ of the SE~4 of th~ ~'SW~ of said
S~ction 13;
Thence (2) Northerly along the last named East line to intersect
the North line of the S~ of the SW~4 of said Section 13;
Thence (3) Westerly along the last named North line to intersect

Thence (4) Northerly along the last named East line to the Northeast
corner of the last named parcel;
Thence (5) Westerly along the North line of the last named parcel
and the North line of that certain parcel of land as described in
that certain deed filed April 14, 1964, in Book 3715, Page 217,
Official Records of said Kern County to the Northwest corner of
last named parcel, said Northwest corner being on the East line of
the W~ of the SE~ of said Section 14;
Thence (6) Northerly along the last named East line to intersect
the North line of the South 415 feet of the NW~ of the SE~ of said
Section 14;
Thence (7) Westerly along the last named North line to intersect
the West line of the East 691 feet of the W~ of the SE~ of the said
Section 14;
Thence (8) Southerly along the last named West line to intersect
the North line of the SW~ of the SE~ of said Section 14;
Thence (9) Westerly al~ the last named North line and the North
line of the SE~ of the of said Section 14 to intersect the East
line of the W~ of the NE~ of the SW~ of said Section 14;
Thence (10) Northerly along the last named East line to intersect
the North ~ S~ NW~ NE~

Thence (11) Westerly along the last named North line to intersect
the East line ~ SW~
of the W~ of the of said Section 14, said inter-
section being a point on the corporate boundary of the City of
Bakersfield as defined by Ordinance No. 1382, New Series;
Thence (12) Southerly along the last named East line, being also
along the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield as defined
by Ordinance Nos. 1382 and 1452, to the point of beginning.
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the
City Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall
upon annexation to the City of Bakersfield be included within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Monday, the 6th day of January, 1969, at the
hour of 8:00 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the
place where, objections to inclusion within the district will be
heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting'thereof held on the 25th day of November, 1968, by
the following vote:
