RESOLUTION OF THE BAKERSFIELD CITY COUNCIL
CONGRATULATING MR. ALLEN BOTTORFF ON HIS
RETIREMENT AS A DIRECTOR OF THE KERN COUNTY~
WATER AGENCY.
W~FEREAS, Allen Bottorff, for nearly two decades, has
served his community in water matters; and
WHEREAS, he was first involved in .water matters on
behalf of agriculture in 1945; and
WHEREAS, he has contributed years of leadership in
the Water Association of Kern County and in the Feather River
Project Association; and
WHEREAS, he served as President of the Kern CoUnty
Water Agency from October 1961 until December 1962; and
WHERE-AS, his wide knowledge of water problems in
the state and the county have been of great service to the
Water ~gency; and
WHEREAS, his e~forts have made a significant contri-
bution towards meeting the water needs of this area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of
the City of Bakersfield commends Allen Bottorff for his contri-
bution to the community and congratulates him on his retirement
as a director of the Kern County Water Agency.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of November,
1968, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Heisey, Hosking, Rees, Rucker, Stiern, Vetter,
Whittemore
