RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ASCERTAINING AND ~ETER-
MINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO
BE PAID IN THE MATTER OF "PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 827", IN SAID
CITY.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, Cali-
fornia, did on the Ist day of .July, 1968, adopt Resolution of
Intention No. 827, for the construction of certain improvements
in Public Improvement District No. 827; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Labor Code
of the State of California, it is necessary that the Council for
the City of Bakersfield, California ascertain and determine the
general prevailing rate of wages for public Work, and by the pro-
visions of said code, make it mandatory upon the awarding body of
any public contract where the body subsequently called for bids
for any public improvement to ascertain and determine the prevail-
ing rate per diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be
performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to
execute the contract, and also the prevailing rate for legal holi-
days and overtime work for each craft or type of workman.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, California, that said Council has ascertained and
hereby determined that the general prevailing rate of per diem
wage in the locality in which said described is to be performed
in said Resolution of Intention No. 827, for each craft or type of
workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract and also the
general prevailing rate of legal holidays and overtime work for
each craft and type of workman or mechanic to be as follows:

Abbreviations used in the schedule of predetermined
wage rates in conjunction with employer payments listed in the
right hand columns are identified as follows:

Employer payments other than those itemized herein, as
defined in Section 1773.1 of the Labor Code, are to be paid in
accordance with the ,terms of the collective bargaining agree-
ment applicable to 'the type of classification of the workmen or
mechanics employed on the project.
Overtime, Sundays and Holidays, not less than one and
one-half (1~) times the basic hourly rate plus applicable employer
payments. The holidays upon which such rates shall be paid shall
be all holidays recognized in the collective bargaining agreement
applicable to the particular craft, classification or type of
workmen employed on the projrect.
Copies of all collective bargaining agreements relating
to the work as set forth in the aforementioned Labor Code are on
file and available for inspection in the office of the Department
of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Statistics and Research.
Attention is directed to Section 7-1.01G of the Standard
Specifications providing for employment of apprentices on the work.
Every such apprentice shall be paid the standard wage paid to
apprentices under the' regulations of the trade at which he is
employed. Information relative to employment of apprentices shall
be obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial
Relations, whO' is the AdminiStrative officer'of the California
Apprenticeship Council.
Any classification omitted herein, not less than $3.97.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of August, 1968,
by the following vote:
