RESOLUTION OF THE COFMCIL OF ~ CITY OF
BaRSFlED ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF
Tltg FUTURE STREET DEDICATION IN LOT 6 OF
TRACT 1366, CITY OF BAKERSFIELDo
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of May, 1968, the Council of the
City of Bakers field, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941'°, being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention Noo 831, declaring its intention to order
the abandonment of the Future Street Dedication ~ All that portion
of Lot 6 of Tract Noo 1366 in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California as shown on the map of said Tract recorded
April 23, 1947 in Book 6, Page 28 of Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder of the County of Kern and more particularly described
as follows ~
That portion of the ~'Future Street Dedication"
over said Lot 6 as shown on said map and described
as the west 30 feet of said Lot 6,
Excepting therefrom the north 50 feet thereof and
the south 20 feet thereof,
Reserving therefrom the south 10 feet of the north
145 feet of the west 30 feet of said Lot 6 for the
purpose of a public utilities easement,
and
W}~REAS, it is determined by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield that the public convenience and necessity require the
reservation of the aforementioned easement and the proceedings
hereunder are taken subject to such reservations and exceptions~ and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
abandonment~ which said hearing was held on the 3rd day of June,
1968, after notices were duly posted as required by law, and
~{EREAS, this Council after duly considering the mat~rer,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1o That that certain Future Street Dedication in Lot 6
of Tract 1366, City of Bakersfield, County of Xern~ State of
California, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
purposes°
2o That said Future Street Dedication be and the same is
hereby released, surrendered and abandoned for all purposes, subject
to and in conformity with Resolution of Intention Noo 831o Reference
to said resolution is hereby made for further particulars°
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California°
