PACIFIC COMPANY FOR THE IMPROVFafEIqT OF THE
CROSSING OF SODTH ~'H" STREET BY THE BUTTON-
WILLOW BR~INCH OF THE SOUTHEPal PACIFIC COMPANY

SIGNALS WITH AUTOX~TIC GATe. iRM$ ~/qi) BY THE
WIDENING OF SOUTH 'H' STI~ZET WITHIN THE AREA
OF SAID CROSSING,
WHERZAS, the City of Bakersfield proposes to widen
South '~H'~ Street within the area of its crossing by the Buttonwillow
Branch of the Southern Pacific Company ~,~ailroad; and
WHEREAS~ the City of Bakersfield and the Southern Pacific
Company contemplate the installation of flashing light grade
crossing signals with automatic gate arms at said crossing; and
WHEREAS~ the City of Bakersfield and the Southern Pacific
Company desire to specify the proportionate share of costs that
are to be borne by the City of Bakers field and the Southern Pacific
Company for said improvement;
NOW.~ TMEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED~ that the agreement for
the installation of flashing ligh~ crossing signals with automatic
gate arms and for the widening of the crossing of South ~"' Stree~
by the Buttonwillow Branch of the Southern Pacific Company Railroad
is hereby approved and the Fayor is authorized =o execute the same°

I MEREBY CgRTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of May~ 1968~ by the
following vote:
