RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL. OF THE' CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING AGREEMENT .NO. '25-68
BETWEEN THE' CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, AND THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE MODIFICATION
OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM, HIGHWAY
LIGHTING AND CHANNELIZATION AT THE INTER-
SECTION OF 21ST STREET AND UNION AVENUE
WITH STATE ROUTE 204 (GOLDEN STATE AVENUE).
'WHEREAS, the State of California and City of Bakersfield.
contemplate modification of a traffic control signal system, high-
way.lighting and channelization at the intersection of 21st Street
and Union AVenue, with State Highway Route 204 '(Golden State Avenue),
all within the City of Bakersfield,' and 'desire~to specify 'the' pro-
portionate share of the' costs that are to be borneby City and
State and to arrange for maintenance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.that agreement No. 25-68
between the City of Bakersfield and the State of California is
hereby approved and the Mayo~ is authorized to execute the same.

I HEREBY CERTIFY'that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of. February, 1968, by the

the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
found and determined that more than sixty percent (60%) of the
o~ners of the property, subject to assessment herein, si~ned and.
filed a written petition requesting the improvement work herein~
after described as evidenced by Resolution Noo.., 14-~8..., adopted by
said Council on the .... 2~!h. day of February, 1968~ and

Resolution of Intention, expressing its in~en=ions to undertake
proceedings under the Improvement Act of 1911, for the constEuction

NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE XT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the City Engineer of said City be and i8
hereby ordered and directed ~o prepare ~he Estimate of Co~$~'
Diagram~ Map of the District to be benefited'~ and Plans and apetill=
cations for the following improvement work and construction to be
done in said City of'Bakersfield, to Wit:

driveway approaches and alley re~urns located
within the Soo 1/2 of Block 198~ Lots l~ through
32 of Block 200~ Soo 1/2 of Block 201~ So. 1/2 of
Block 202~$11 of Block 214, 115, 216, 218~ 229~
230~ 231, 232~·233~ 23~ and ~he No 1/2 of Block 237°
All of the above improvement work and construction
be of the size :and dimension~ and done in the m~nner and places~
