CITY OF BAKERSF.%ELD ORDERING THE
~O~/I iN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTP~ICT
NO. 821 AND DIRECTING IME CITY
CLERK TO POST NOTICES INVITING
BIDS I~tEREFOR,
WMEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on
the 4th day of De~ember~ 1967~ duly adopt i~s Resolution of Inten~
tion No. 821 declaring its intention to order the construction
and installation of the; water supply system as described ~herein
and in the plans and specifications on file in the office of the
City Clerk; and
WMEREAS~ Notice of Adoption of Resolution of Intention
No o 821 was duly 'and legally published ~,ice in the Bakersfield
Californian~ a daily newspaper published and circula~.ed in.said
City~ and designated b~F said Council for that purpose as required
under the Improvemen~ Act of 1913; and
WI{EREAS~ notice of the passage of said Resolution of
In~ention No. 821 headed "NOTICE OF I~PROVE~ENT" was dGly and
legally posted along the lines of said contemplated ~qork and
improvement and along all ~he open streets within said distrtct~
and not more than' 300 feet apart in the time, foz~a and manner as
required by law; and
WHE~ said posting was fully completed more ~han
twenty (20} days before the date set for hearing prot,~.sts and
obje~_ion~_~; and
WHEREAS~ no~iee of the adoptio~l-.of-said._resDiJ~tton of
intention and an estimated assessment ~o be assessed agains~ each
property owner. involved~ was given by mail in the manner required
by the Improvement A~t of 1913; and
WHERE&S~ the time set for hearing of objections on said
resolution of inten~ion was more than fifteen ~15) days and less
than sixty (60) days from the date of the passage of said resolution~
and
WHEREAS, at said hearing held the 8th day of January and
continued to the 15th day of January~ 1968D all persons desiring
to be heard were fully heard and all oral and written protests and
objections were fully heard~ and this City. Council having given
all persons present an opportunity to hear and be heard in respect
to any matter relating to the work proposed., the boundaries of
the proposed assessment district, the serial bonds to be tss%Md
to represent unpaid assessments, the question of whether public
convenience and necessity require such improvement, or in any way
related to the proceedings proposed by Resolu~jion of Intention
No 0 821; and
WHER. EAS~ ~his Cit7 Council has received eviden<.'e reidtinE
to the proposed wor~, the boundaries of the proposed assessmen~
district~ and the benefits to the proper'ty to l~e included ~n the
proposed assess~uent district and is fully infornmd in the premise.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield,
California, does hereby resolve, find, determine and order as
follows:

THAT Qri'tten protests and objections heard and received
