WFIE~AS~ the Council of the City of Bakersfield~ Caii-
fornta did on the 4th day of December,, 1967, adopt Resolution of
In~ention No. 821 for the c~struc~i~ of ~ertain improve~nts
in Publi~ Improve~nt District No~ 821; and
~E~AS~ purs~n~ to the provisions of the ~bor Code
of the State of Califo~ia, it is necessary that the Co~il of
the City of ~rsfie].d, Califo~ia~ ascertain and dete~ne
general prevailing rate of wages for public work~ and by the pro=
visits of said code~ ~ke i~ muds tory up~ the awarding body of
any public c~tract where the said bo~y subsequently calls for
bids for any publi~ improvement, to ascertain and deter~ne the
prevailing ra~e of per diem ~ages in the localities at ~hi~h
~eork is ~o be perfoxed, for each craf~ or ty~ of wor~m
~chanic needed to execute ~he contract~ and also the general
prevailing rate for legal holidays and overti~ work for each

and does hereby datemine t~t the general p~evailing rates of per
diem wage in the locality in' which said work described in said
~esolut~on of Intention No. 821 is to be perfoMd~ for each
craf~ or t~e of worth or ~chanic needed to execute ~he
tract and also the general prevailins rate for legal holidays
and overti~ work for each ~raf~ and type of wor~n or
