WHE.REAS~ 'the State of Ca!i:~ornia and the City of
Bakers field have previously entered into an agreement executed by
said City on Feb~%ary 27~ 1967~ and by the State on April 24~ 1967,
specifying the proportionate share of the costs that are ~o be
bor,~e by said City and ~he S~ate and the maxi~m cos~ tha~ ~y be
bombs by said City for ~he modification of a =raffic control signal
system and highway lighting at the intersection of Union Avenue
wi~h S~ate l{igh~vay Route 58 (22nd S~ree~ ~{est~ Su~er $~ree~ ~st)~
all within the City of Bakersfield~ and arranged thereby for
msintenance ~ and
W~E~$~ it is desired to increase ~he maxim~ cost t~t
~y be borne by said City;
