CALIFORNIA. o
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of
Bakers field requesting that a sanitary sewer system be constructed
in the proposed Public Improveraent District No. 822 as ~the dis~.rict
is shown on the map attached and marked ~'Exhibit B", and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to initiate proceedings
under the improvement Act of 1911 (commencing with Section 5000~
Streets and Highways Code) for the construction of said sanitary
sewer system,,
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Bakers field ~hat the City Council finds and doteshines
that the owners of more than sixty per cent (60%) of the area of
the property- subject to assessment :for the proposed improvement
work have signed and filed with the City C~.erk of the City Council
of the City of Bakersfield~ who is the Ex~Officio Clerk of the City
Council of the City of Bakersf~.eld~ the le[~islative body under°,-
taking said proceedings, a ~ri~:ten petition for said improvements
and a waiver of the investigation and other requirements provt~,ed
by the Special Assessment Investigation., Limitation and Major
Protest Act of 1931 in connection with said proposed improvement
work and construction° The said improvement work and construction
to be in said City of Bakersfield, is described as follows:
The Construction of sanitary sewer lines, together
with appurtenant lampho!es~ manholes, ~ye branches
and house laterals and all necessary earthwork and
paving repair for said constz~ction along I{endricks
Lane~ Oscar Avenu. e and Lacey Stree~ from Regent
Street to South '~H'~ Street°
