Mayor Hall called the meeting to order.
Damell Haynes, Assistant to City Manager, gave an
invocation.

DEPARTMENT BUDGET PRESENTATIONS
a. General Government
Assistant City ManagerAlan Christensen provided
an overview and computer presentation of the
Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 2000/2001, and
distributed written material.
Couch requested staff communicate with the
Westpark citizens, the time-line regarding the
evaluation of the freeway alternatives.
Couch requested staff add the committee
agendas on the City web page.
Couch referred to the Budget & Finance
Committee the issue of developing a policy
regarding televised meetings.
Maggard requested staff review constituent
tracking software, new technology or staff
person to assist Council.
Carson requested staff evaluate the feasibility
of a staff person to assist the Council.
Couch requested staff review the possibility of
cell phones for Councilmembers.

Benham also requested staff provide prompt
information regarding the State budget.
Benham requested staff review the possibility
of additional staff to assist the Council
Don Jaegar, Convention and Visitors' Bureau,
gave a computer presentation regarding their
Fiscal Year 2001-02 Budget and provided written
material.
b. Fire
Fire Chief Ron Fraze gave a computer
presentation and provided written material.
Carson requested additional information
regarding Southeast area response time due
to closure of Planz Road.
c. Economic and Community Development
Economic Development Director Donna Kunz
gave a computer presentation and provided
written material.
Couch requested information regarding First
Night.
Couch requested staff provide the beginning
balance for each of the PAC areas.
Couch requested a copy of luxury items for
senior housing projects.
Couch requested the percentage of KEDC's
budget.
Sullivan also requested First Night
information.
