ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.40.070 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
RECORDS TO BE KEPT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.40.070 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read
as follows:
3.40.070 -Records to be kept.
It shall be the duty of every person liable for the collection and payment to the
city of any tax imposed by this chapter to keep and preserve, for a period of three years,
such suitable records as may be necessary to determine the amount of the tax as he
may have been liable for the collection of and payment to the city, which records the tax
collector shall have the right to inspect at all reasonable times.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after
the date of its passage.
