RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD VERIFYING THAT ALL ADOPTED
PROCEDURES WERE FOLLOWED IN THE ELECTION OF
THE PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE FOR THE OLD TOWN
KERN-PIONEER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield (the "Council") and the City
of Bakersfield Central District Development Agency (the "Agency") have initiated a
Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment Plan") for the Old Town Kern-Pioneer
Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area"); and
WHEREAS, on October 7, 1998, pursuant to Section 33385 of the California Health
and Safety Code, the Council adopted Resolution No. 126-98 calling for the formation of
a PAC in the Project Area; and
WHEREAS, on October 7, 1998, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 132-98
adopting procedures for the formation of a Project Area Committee (the "PAC"); and
WHEREAS, a display ad was published in the Bakersfield Californian and E/
Mexicalo newspapers, and notices were sent to residents, businesses, and property
owners within the Project Area regarding a meeting to discuss the PAC; and
WHEREAS, a meeting to discuss the PAC was conducted on October 28, 1998;
and
WHEREAS, a PAC formation meeting was conducted on November 16, 1998, to
elect PAC members; and
WHEREAS, all activities prior to, and including, said election were in accordance
with the adopted PAC procedures and state redevelopment law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION I
The procedures for PAC formation adopted by Resolution 132-98 on October 7,
1998, were followed in the election of the PAC.

SECTION 2
The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby requested to send acknowledgment
of the election to the PAC members.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on DEC 0 9 19~, by the
following vote:
