A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF QUINCY STREET BETWEEN KING STREET AND BAKER
STREET IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1984, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law,"
being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Resolution
of Intention No. 976 declaring its intention to order the vacation
of a portion of Quincy Street between King Street and Baker Street
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 14th day of March,
1984, after notices were duly published and posted as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a portion of Quincy Street between King Street
and Baker Street in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present
or prospective public street purposes.
2. That a portion of Quincy Street between King Street
and Baker Street be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated
and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in
conformity with any reservations and exceptions and contained in
and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 976. Reference
to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

A parcel of land s~tuated in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kero, State of
California, being a portion of Section 20, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B. & M., more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the westerly right of way line of King Street
and the southerly right of way line of State Route 178, as said intersection is
shown on the Map' of Relinquishment Request No. 73589 recorded October 28,
in State Highway Map Book 3 at page 12 in the Office of the Kern County Recorder;
thence South 16° 52' 13" West along the last named westerly right of way line
distance of 56.61 feet to a point on the northerly right of way line of Quiocy
Street, said point being the Point of Beginning for this description;
TIIENCE (1) Continuing South 16° 52' 13" West a distance of 80.00 feet to a
point on the southerly right of way line of Quincy Street;
TIIENCE (2) Westerly along the last named southerly right of way line the following
3 courses: North 715° 07' 29" West a distance of i36.68 Feet;
TttENCE (3) South 73° 50' 14" l~'est a distance of 230.92 feet to a point on a
tangent curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 14 feet;
THENCE (4) Southerly along the last named curve through a central angle of
146° 57' 43" an arc length of 35.91 feet to a point of cusp;
TttENCE (5) North 73° 07' 29" West a distance of 79.88 feet to a point on the
easterly right of way line of Baker Street;
TIIENCE (6) North 16° 52' 20" East along the last named rigtit of way line a
distance of 26.46 Feet to a point on the southerly right of way line of State
Route 178;
THENCE (7) North 715° 50' 14" Bast along the last named southerly right of way
line a distance of 376.77 feet to a point on the northerly right of way line
of Quincy Street of 80 feet in width;
T}IENCE (8) South 73° 07' 29" East along the last named northerly right of way
a distance of 87.05 feet to the Point of Beginning.

a fire lane the following descrihed parcel:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly right of way line of Quincy Street
and the sontherly right of way linc of Sty*re Route 178 as said intersection is
shown on the above referenced Map of RelinquisEment Request No. 73589;
THENCE (1) South 73° 07' 29" East along the north right of way line of Qnincy
Street a distance of 3(,.68 feet;
TIIENCE (21 South 73° 50' l,l" West along a line 20 feet southerly of and parallel
with the southerly right of way line of State Boute i78 a distance of 357.52 feet;
TIIENCE (3) South 115° 09' 46" East a distance of 24.38 feet to a point on a
nontangent curve concave to the southeast which bears North 62° 45' 48" West
a radial distance of 14.00 feet From the center of said curve;
THENCE (4) Southerly along the last named curve through a central angle of 100°
21' 41" an arc length of 24.52 feet;
THENCE (5) North 73° 07' 29" West a distance of 79.88 feet to a point on the east
right of way line of Baker Street;
THENCE (6) North 16° 52' 20" East along the last named east right of way line a
distance of 26.46 Feet to a point on the southerly right of way line of State
Route 178.
THENCE (7) North 73° 50' 14" East along the last named southerly right of way line
a distance of 377.76 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Said easement and fire lane to be kept open, clear and free from buildings and
structures of any kind.
