RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF
SURPLUS FIRE ENGINE (RESERVE ENGINE #215) TO
THE BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE FIRE TECHNOLOGY
PROGRAM FOR ONE DOLLAR ($1.00)
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield possesses a surplus fire engine (#215) which is
no longer serviceable for the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield College Fire Technology Program, a local governmental
entity, desires to buy the surplus fire engine for consideration of one dollar: and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Bakersfield Municipal Code section 3.20.120(F) the
City Council must confirm and approve the sale of any surplus equipment to another
governmental entity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by
reference.
2 . The City Council authorizes the Finance Director to sell the above-referenced
surplus equipment to the Bakersfield College Fire Technology Program for
the total amount of $1.00.
