A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FINDING AND DECLARING INTERESTS
OF RESIDENTS ALONG SPECIFIED PRIVATELY OWNED
AND MAINTAINED ROADS AND INTERESTS OF MOTOR-
ING PUBLIC WILL BEST BE SERVED BY APPLICATION
OF PROVISIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE,
AND CITY REGULATIONS ADOPTED PURSUANT THERETO,
TO SUCH ROADS - FOUNTAIN SPRINGS ESTATES.
WHEREAS, the homeowners association holding title to
the private roadways within City of Bakersfield Tract No. 3891,
commonly known as Fountain Springs Estates, and a majority of the
residents within said tract have petitioned this Council to make
the provisions of the California Vehicle Code, and City regula-
tions adopted pursuant thereto, applicable to the privately owned
and maintained roads within said tracts, which roads are as
follows: Crystal Springs Drive, Deercreek Lane, Fern Brook Way,
Crystal Fall Lane, Blue Fountain Lane, Cedarbrook Lane, Pine
Springs Way, Silver Springs Lane, Fountain View Way and Silver
Creek Road; and
WHEREAS, the Council has, this 29th day of August,
1984, held a public hearing on the petition, notice of such
hearing having been given as provided in Section 21107.7 of the
California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, based on the petition and the testimony given
at said public hearing, this Council finds that the aforesaid
privately owned and maintained roads are not generally held open
for use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel but, by
reason of their proximity to and connection with highways, the
interests of residents residing along such roads and the motoring
public will best be served by application to such roads of provi-
sions of the California Vehicle Code and City regulations adopted
pursuant thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE,

Pine Springs Way, Silver Springs

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day oi August, 1984, by
