AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION § 1.12.040 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO. 605 TO
WARD 4.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution
for Annexation No. 605 recently ordering the territory annexed to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required
to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexation for the territory to the City
of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for
Annexation No. 605 shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth
herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 605 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 4.
Sections 1. 12.040 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by
adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 5.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City
of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.

ANNEXATION NO. 605
TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
Being a portion of the Northwest 1/a of Section 16, Township 29 South, Range 27 East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, in the County of Kern, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Section 16, said point also being the
centerline intersection of Olive Drive (County Road No. 401) and Coffee Road (County
Road No. D-1126); thence South 00°01'36" West, along the west line of Section 16, said
west line also being the center line of Coffee Road (County Road No. D-1126), a distance
of 940.16; thence, South 89°01'36" East, a distance of 55.00 feet to a point on the city
corporate boundary, said point also being the Northwest corner of Lot 42 of Tract Map
No. 3807, filed for record on September 11, 1978 in Book 28 of Maps, at Page 59 in the
Office of the Kern County Recorder, said point also being the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING;
Thence (1) South 89°51'01" East, departing the city corporate boundary, along the
North line of Lot 42, Lot 41 and Lot 40 of said Tract Map No. 3807, a
distance of 254.00 feet, to the Northwest corner of Lot 39;
Thence (2) North 87°50'09" East, along the North line of Lot 39 of said Tract Map
No. 3807, a distance of 82.07 feet, to the Northwest corner of Lot 38;
Thence (3) North 80°09'49" East, along the North line of Lot 38 of said Tract Map
No. 3807, a distance of 83.26 feet, to the Northwest corner of Lot 37;
Thence (4) North 80°21'20" East, along the North line of Lot 37 of said Tract Map

Thence (9) continuing South 89°51'01" East, along the Easterly prolongation of the
North line of said Lot 29, a distance of 60.00 feet, to the Easterly right of
way of said Urner Street and Northwest corner of Lot 28 of said Amended
Tract Map No. 3687;
Thence (10) continuing South 89°51'01" East, along the North line of said Lot 28 thru
25, a distance of 360.91 to the Northeast corner of Lot 25 and East line of
