AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS § 1.12.010, § 1.12.060 AND § 1.12.070 BY ADDING
ANNEXATION NOS. 580 AND 585 TO WARD 1, ANNEXATION
NO. 575 TO WARD 6 AND ANNEXATION NO. 592 TO WARD 7.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution
for Annexation Nos. 580, 585, 575 and 592 recently ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required
to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexation for the territory to the City
of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for
Annexation Nos. 580, 585, 575 and 592 shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated as
though fully set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 580 shall be included in Ward 1.
Section 3.
Annexation No. 585 shall be included in Ward 1.
Section 4.
Annexation No. 575 shall be included in Ward 6.
Section 5.
Annexation No. 592 shall be included in Ward 7.
Section 6.
Sections 1.12.010, 1.12.060 and1.12.070 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended by adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 7.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City
of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. o~ bNKe

That portion of the south half of the north half of the southeast quarter of the
northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 2, Township 30 South,
Rang 27 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, in the unincorporated area of the
County of Kern, State of California, according to the official plat thereof
lying within the following described parcel:
Commencing at southwest corner of said northeast quarter of the northeast
quarter, being monumented with a concrete monument per Filed Map No.
7-1, Book 6, Page 131 in the office of the County Surveyor of said County;
Thence S. 88°45'05" E., along the south line of said northeast quarter of the
northeast quarter, 999.67 feet;

Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northwest quarter of said Section 7,
