RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF
SURPLUS VAC-CON SEWER LINE CLEANING
TRUCK TO THE CITY OF TAFT FOR
TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000)
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield possesses a surplus VAC-CON sewer line
cleaning truck which is no longer serviceable for the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the City of Taft, a local governmental entity, desires to buy the surplus
sewer line cleaning truck for consideration of twenty thousand dollars: and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Bakersfield Municipal Code section 3.20.120(F) the
City Council must confirm and approve the sale of any surplus equipment to another
governmental entity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by
reference.
2. The City Council authorizes the Finance Director to sell the above-referenced
surplus equipment to the City of Taft for the total amount of $20,000.
