Home My WebLink AboutRES NO 139-83RESOLUTION NO. 139-$3 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD SUSPENDING SEWER USER CHARGES PREVIOUSLY SET BY CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 105-83 AND SETTING REDUCED CHARGES FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1983, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1984. WHEREAS, as a result of the review of the rate at which revenues from the sewer connection fees set by Resolution No. 105-83 have accumulated, the City Council's Water Resources Committee has recommended in its Report No. 2-83 that sewer connection fees set by Resolution No. 105-83 be adjusted as specified below; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds the phasing of such sewer connection fees to the full amount thereof, as specified below, to be consistent with the requirements of the City for funding design and a bonded construction financing program for expanding and upgrading Waste Water Treatment Plant No. 3. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: Until January 1, 1985, sewer connection charges set by Resolution No. 105-83 shall be suspended and the lesser charges specified below shall be in effect: Single Family Dwellings Multiple Family Dwellings Per Fixture for Commercial & Industrial July 1, 1983 July 1, 1984 through through June 30, 1984 Dec. 31, 1984 $475.00 $662.50 320.00 480.00 20.00* 30.00* (*Times the equivalency multiplier specified in Resolution No. 105-83.) 2. The City Finance Operations Manager and City Engineer shall process an appropriate refund, based on the adjustment set forth above, to each party who has paid the connection fee specified in Resolution No. 105-83 since July 1, 1983. .......... o0o .........
