A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SUPPORTING MINORITY ENTERPRISE
DEVELOPMENT WEEK.
WHEREAS, the development of minority businesses are
essential to the viability of the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, minority businesses offer opportunities to
individuals that may not otherwise be available; and
WHEREAS, successful minority businesses offer the realiza-
tion that success is achievable by everyone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Bakersfield supports Minority Enterprise Development
Week, October 3 to October 7, 1983.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of September, 1983,
