A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF 16TH STREET LYING BETWEEN EYE STREET AND
"H" STREET IN THE CITY OF' BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day ot~ August, 1983, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public
Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law," being
Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division
Code of the State o£ California,
of Intention No. 974 declaring

passed anG adopted its Resolution
its intention to order the vacation
of a portion of 16th Street lying between Eye Street
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time
hearing all persons interested in or ob3ecting
and "H" Street
California;
and place for
to said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 14th day of September,
1983, after notices were duly published anG posted as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a portion of 16th Street lying between Eye Street
and "H" Street in the City o~ Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or
prospective public street purposes.
2. That a portion o~ 16tn Street lying between Eye street
and "H" Street be and the same is hereby c%osed up, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes, sub3ect to and in conformity
with any reservations and exceptions and contained in and contemplated
by said Resolution of Intention No. 974. Reference to said
Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage oi
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County Of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day o~ September, 1983,

CaIifornia, be'ing a portion of Section 30, To~mship 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B. & M., more particularly described as follm~s:
All that portion of 16th Street of ~2.5 feet in width lying adjacent to Blocks
31S and 324 as said Blocks 515 and 324 are shmm on the map of the City of
Bakersfield f~.led April 19, 190,1 in blap Book 1 at page 13 in the Office of
the Kern County Recorder, bounded on the west by the east right-of-way line
of "H" Street and on the east b2, the west right--of-way ]inc of Eye Street
(formerly "P' Street.)
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the north 16.5 feet vacated by Resolution No. 59-74 of
tl~e Council of the City of Bakersf2eld recorded 3uly 2S, 1974 in Official
Records ~ook 4852 at page 72~ in the Office of the Kern County Recorder.
