HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 118-83RESOLUTION NO. 118-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF HEIGHT STREET BETWEEN MT. VERNON AVENUE AND SUNNY LANE IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, on the 3rd of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant "Public Streets, Highways and Service being Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division day of August, 1983, the Council to the provisions of the Easements Vacation Law," 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of its Resolution of order the vacation of Mt. Vernon Avenue and County of Kern, State the State of California, passed and adopted Intention No. 972 declaring its intention to a portion of Height Street between Sunny Lane in the City of Bakersfield, of California; and WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which said hearing was held on the 14th day of September, 1983, after notices were duly published and posted as required by law; and WHEREAS, this Council does hereby find and resolve as 1. That a portion of after duly considering the matter, follows: Height Street between Mt. Vernon Avenue and Sunny Lane in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes. 2. That a portion of Height Street between Mto Vernon Avenue and Sunny Lane be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity with any reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 972. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars. 3.
