A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS FOR
NUISANCE (WEEDS AND/OR WASTE MATTER - FIRE
HAZARD) ABATEMENT AGAINST PROPERTIES GENERALLY
IDENTIFIED AS 1708 HENDRICKS LANE AND/OR
2800 SOUTH "H" STREET AND 924 "M" STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedures and requirements
of Chapter 8.28 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, weeds and/or
waste matter heretofore determined to be nuisances in that they
constituted fire hazards have been abated pursuant to the orders
of this Council on those properties commonly known as 1708 Hendricks
Lane and/or 2800 South "H" Street (Assessor's Parcel No. 023-290-
22) and 924 "M" Street (Assessor's Parcel No. 09-152-06); and
WHEREAS, as reported to this Council by the Fire Chief,
the costs of abatement plus administrative charges are as follows
for such properties:
For 1708 Hendricks and/or 2800 South "H" Street -
$218.25;
For 924 "M" Street - $175.00;
and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held this date, notice
having been given to the owners of the above properties, no
objections to or claims against the above assessments, as specified
in Section 8.28.120 A of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, have
been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The foregoing recitals, and each of them, are
found to be true and correct.

3. If each such assessment is not paid to the Finance
Director of the City on or before five o'clock p.m., August 15,
1983, such assessment shall be entered on the property tax roll
and collected with property taxes as specified in Section 8.28.140
of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 10th day of August, 1983, by
