RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 65-83 AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING PERCENTAGE OF ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS BE
ASSESSED FOR EXPENSES OF COLLECTION -STOCKDALE SEWER
TRUNKLINE - ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 82-1 (RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION NO. 955)
WHEREAS, this Council of the City of Bakersfield,
California, by Resolution No. 65-83, duly adopted on April 20,
1983, determined the unpaid list and provided for the issuance
of $6,189,877.00 principal amount of improvement bonds for
City of Bakersfield Assessment District No. 82-1; and
WHEREAS, this Council has found and determined that
pursuant to Section 8682 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California, the expenses of collection exceed
one-fourth of 1 percent of the amount of installments on the
unpaid assessments; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 8 of Resolution No. 65-83, "Resolution
of the Council of the City of Bakersfield Determining the Unpaid
List and Providing for the Issuance of $6,189,877.00 Principal
Amount of Improvement Bonds Assessment District No. 82-1
(Resolution of Intention No. 955)", shall be amended by addition
of the following paragraph:
"The Finance Director shall annually enter in
the assessment roll on which taxes will next become
due, opposite each lost or parcel of land affected,
a percentage of 1 percent of the amount of each install-
ment for the expenses of collection of said installment."
2. Such percentages when collected, shall belong to the
City of Bakersfield and shall cover the expenses of compensation
of the City Finance Director incurred in the collection of such
expenses.
3. The City Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this
resolution, when adopted, to the Auditor's Office of the County
of Kern, and a certified copy shall also be forwarded to the
office of the Finance Director of the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of August, 1983, by
