HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 57-83RESOLUTION NO. 57-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD APPROVING THE KERN COUNTY FEDERAL AID URBAN PROCESS AND PROGRAM FOR THE BAKERS- FIELD URBANIZED AREA AND THE COMMITTEE COOPERATIVE PROCESS FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION. WHEREAS, the 1982 Federal Highway Act system program; and WHEREAS, the portation has set down and the 1973 Federal Highway Act established, and continues, the Federal Aid Urban (FAU) State of California, Department of Trans- certain policy procedures for these programs; WHEREAS, in accordance therewith, Bakersfield, Delano, McFarland, Ridgecrest, the cities of Arvin, Shafter, Taft and Wasco, the Lamont urban area, the State of Califgrni~, the Golden Empire Transit District and the County of Kern have formed and functioned as the Kern County Federal Aid Urban Committee, with the County of Kern in the ro~e as "Lead Agency"; and WHEREAS, the Kern County FAU Committee Cooperative Process, respecting the 1982 Federal Highway Act, has been duly formulated and is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the Kern County FAU Program for the Bakersfield urbanized area, respecting the 1982 Federal Highway Act has been duly formulated and is attached hereto as Exhibit "B"; and WHEREAS, a diagram delineating and establishing the 1982 Federal Aid Urban Boundaries and System Routes for the Bakersfield urbanized area, has been prepared. NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci~ of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. That the Kern County Federal Aid Urban Committee Cooperative Process, respecting the 1982 Federal Highway Act, which is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incor- porated herein, is hereby approved. 2. That the Kern County Federal Aid Urban Program for the Bakersfield urbanized area, City of Bakersfield, respecting the 1982 Federal Highway Act, all as set forth in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated herein, is here- by approved. 3. That the said Cooperative Process and Program approved herein :respecting the 1982 Federal Highway Act is recommended for approval by the Kern County Council of Govern- ments. 4. That the 1982 Federal Aid 'Urban Boundaries and System Routes for the Bakersfield urbanized area, Kern County California, is approved. 5.
