RESOLUTION NO.0 7 6 09
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
ACCEPTING CITY CLERK'S CERTIFICATION, DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR THE
SUBMISSION TO THE VOTERS OF ANNEXATION MEASURE A,
KIMBERLY NO. 1 HELD ON THE 16TH DAY OF JUNE 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to applicable law, a Special Municipal Election was
held in the City of Bakersfield as Kimberly No. 1 Annexation Measure; and
SECTION 2. Said election was held and conducted in conformity with all
applicable provisions of law; and
SECTION 3. Pursuant to direction of the City Council, the City Clerk has
conducted a Canvass of Results, attached to Exhibit "A"; and
SECTION 4. The City Council does hereby accept the City Clerk's Certification
of the Canvass of Results, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and does hereby resolve,
determine and declare the results of said Special Municipal Election for Measure A,
Kimberly No. 1 to be as follows:
MEASURE "A"
Shall the territory (described as Kimberly No. YES 42
1), which includes your property, be annexed to
the City of Bakersfield? NO 14
SECTION 5. In accordance with the above results, the City Clerk does hereby
declare the territory known as the Kimberly No. 1 Annexation attached to the City of
Bakersfield incorporated area.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.

I, Pamela A. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, authorized by
Resolution No. 028-09 adopted by the City Council on March 11, 2009, do hereby
certify to the City Council for the City of Bakersfield, the Result of the Canvass of the
Special Municipal Election held on June 16, 2009, find that the number of votes given in
the City for Kimberly No. 1 Measure A was as follows:
