I 3 8 -0 I A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT A STAGE AT CENTENNIAL GARDEN CANNOT BE REASONABLY OBTAINED THROUGH THE USUAL BIDDING PROCEDURES AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH BIDDING THEREFORE, NOT TO EXCEED $50,000. WHEREAS, CITY currently has a StageRight stage at its Arena which is designed to accommodate live acts; and and WHEREAS, CITY requires an addition to the current stage to allow for larger acts; WHEREAS, said stage addition must be integrated into the current stage, which has separate deckings and stands on supports; and WHEREAS, StageRight is the only manufacturer that produces stage additions which are compatible with the existing stage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The above recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein by reference. 2. The work, supplies, equipment or materials can only be reasonably obtained from one vendor because of the need to successfully integrate such work, supplies, equipment or materials into an existing CITY project or system. 3. The Finance Director is authorized to dispense with bidding in accordance with Section 3.20.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code. 4. The expenditure of funds for said work, supplies, equipment or material shall not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000).
