A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY
SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
NEGOTIATE ITS SALE
WHEREAS, on April 26, 2000 the City purchased 11,430 square feet of land for
construction of domestic water well facilities; and,
WHEREAS, parcel contains 1,518 square feet of land excess to needs of City; and,
WHEREAS, the owner of the adjacent parcel has requested the City sell this property
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto to incorporate into owners development.
WHEREAS, on September 20, 2001 the Planning Commission is scheduled to review
the sale of this property for consistency with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan
pursuant to Government Code Section 65402.
WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated sale of City
property deemed to be "surplus".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The foregoing findings and recitals are true, correct, and incorporated herein.
Real Property located, East of Jewetta Ave. and South of Brimhall is hereby
declared surplus to the City's needs and the Finance Director is authorized to
negotiate its sale. The real property is more fully described in Exhibits "A" and "B"
attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth.
! HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
